1. Deforestation: Haiti has lost over 98% of its forest cover, mainly due to charcoal production and agricultural expansion.
2. Soil Erosion: Deforestation has led to severe soil erosion, affecting agriculture and increasing landslide risk.
3. Water Scarcity: Haiti faces significant water shortages, exacerbated by deforestation, climate change, and inadequate infrastructure.
4. Marine Pollution: Coastal areas suffer from pollution, harming marine ecosystems and fisheries.
5. Earthquake and Hurricane Vulnerability: Haiti's geography makes it prone to devastating natural disasters.
