Constant political conflict and health issues due to many variables, the country tends to get into worse financial crises especially in 2026.

Food Insecurity

• 6.1 million people faced acute food insecurity at Crisis level or higher as of early 2025.
• 7.7 million people, 57% of the population, are projected to be food insecure during the April-July 2025 lean season.

Of those, 2.5 million will face emergency levels and 63,000 will face catastrophe levels.

1. 3.2 million children and women are at risk of malnutrition, a 28% increase vs 2024.
