Kenya
One of the most frequently asked questions is, "Why Kenya?" Why did we decide to assist Kenya?
During the lockdown in early Covid-19, we received a request for aid for education, training, and food from one of the Kenyan NGO's. We realized that financial donations could only go so far, so two organizations joined forces to collaborate, and before long, we had many organizations with similar long-term goals, and The SOL Foundation ™ was born.

“If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”
The above quote is our goal!
We want Kenya to be self-sufficient and self-sustainable for future generations.
Everyone is entitled to a nutritious meal, clean water, and a stable job without jeopardizing their self-esteem or dignity.

Many respondents say this is the most difficult challenge in their household, reported by Chronic Poverty Kenya Covid-19 Monitor (https://www.un.org/development/desa/ageing/wp-content/uploads/sites/24/2021/03/Kenya_Jan21.pdf).
