UWERA URBAN FARMER'S INITIATIVE LIMITED.
UWERA URBAN FARMER'S INITIATIVE LIMITED in Uganda is a registered charity that focuses on women empowerment within Africa.
Drought is a recurring issue, access to nutritious food is a significant concern, particularly for pregnant women and young children.
The scarcity of food has led to alarming rates of malnutrition among children, resulting in various health problems and illnesses. Furthermore, food insecurity is hindering education, causing many children to miss out on this fundamental right.
To address this critical issue, our goal is to establish a school garden in every household and school, promoting local agriculture and ensuring a reliable source of fresh produce.
By doing so, we aim to:
- Improve food security and nutrition for pregnant women and children
- Reduce malnutrition and related health issues among children
- Support education by providing a stable and healthy learning environment
By empowering communities to grow their own food, we can break the cycle of hunger and malnutrition, fostering a brighter future for Uganda's most vulnerable populations.
